Barista - Part-Time

What you’ll do:

• Open and close the shop following checklist procedures for cleaning and preparation

• Take payments from guests using our cashless terminal

• Prepare coffee drinks on our Slayer espresso machine 

• Ensure pinball machines are on and clean for guests to play

• Answer questions about our roasted coffee, events, and merch

• Provide exceptional hospitality so all feel welcome

• Communicate effectively and document any issues needing resolved

• Maintain cleanliness in all areas, following ServSafe guidelines

• Be on time and able to independently work without interference

We’re looking for people who:

• Have an inclusive mindset and team-player attitude

• Have coffee curiosity (industry experience is a plus, training provided) 

• Have a service-first mentality with a willingness to learn

• Communicate professionally and be present

• Have a positive outlook and are solution-oriented

• Open to giving and receiving feedback, positive and constructive

• Are dependable, able to fulfill work commitments while being punctual

• Can stand for up to 8 hours, repeatedly lift and carry up to 30lbs, and power on and off coffee equipment and pinball machines

• Ability to participate in quality assurance of products served, and reporting of pinball game issues

Job Requirements:

• Part-time barista shifts as scheduled and available 

• 2-5 shifts per week

• Shifts start between 8am -5pm

• Weekend availability required

• Training includes review of process documents, 4 shifts of shadowing, drink prep practice, and POS review

Compensation & Benefits:

• $15/hr plus tips
