Founded in 2007 by ten visionary women, the Asociación de Mujeres Productoras de Café La Labor (AMPROCAL) remains the region’s only 100% female-led coffee association. Today, AMPROCAL represents over 300 certified organic growers, dedicated to elevating women in coffee while cultivating exceptional specialty lots. Members continually refine their craft through peer knowledge-sharing and dedicated agronomic and technical support, driving both ecological sustainability and household income.

At harvest, cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness and pulped the same day. The coffee undergoes a clean 12- to 18-hour fermentation, followed by thorough washing in fresh water, before drying in the sun in parchment for 4 to 7 days.
